The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced
Manager Mobile Maintenance to lead and standardise mobile maintenance practices across our underground operations. Reporting to the
Group Manager Operations, this site‑focused leadership role is accountable for delivering safe, reliable and highly productive mobile equipment fleets through strong systems of work, performance governance and team
capability.
This role requires regular travel across Westgold’s operations and provides support and oversight to site maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a Mobile Maintenance Management Plan and Management Operating Plan to standardise routines, systems and performance.
- Lead site maintenance teams to improve planned vs unplanned maintenance, fleet availability, uptime and safety.
- Establish, monitor and report on maintenance and reliability KPIs, including monthly performance reviews with site leadership.
- Drive reliability initiatives through trend analysis, defect elimination and continuous improvement programs.
- Optimise maintenance costs through inventory management, vendor performance, and supplier framework agreements.
- Provide leadership in workforce planning, talent pipeline development and capability uplift across sites.
- Support infrastructure planning to ensure maintenance facilities are fit‑for‑purpose now and into the future.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Mining and Asset Management teams to support production outcomes.
- Provide after‑hours leadership support to sites as required.
About You
You are a proven mobile maintenance leader with strong underground mining experience and a disciplined approach to safety, reliability and performance.
You will bring: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in mobile maintenance leadership roles
- Strong experience in underground mobile plant maintenance and reliability
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and safety systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop high‑performing teams
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including cost forecasting and budgeting
- Proven experience driving maintenance performance, availability and cost improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Engineering trade or relevant tertiary qualification
- Current WA C‑Class Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
